Analysis
On Tuesday, March 29, 2016 the City of Grand Prairie opened bids for East Main Street at the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge Drainage Improvements. The low bidder is Flow-line Construction, Inc. in the Base Bid amount of $1,567,874 for total bid amount of $1,567,874.
This project was identified as part of the FY15 Capital Projects Budget and Capital Projects Plan for Proposed Storm Drainage Projects. This project provides for the construction of storm drainage box conduit and pipe and inlets improvements to drain the East Main Street sag under the Union Pacific Railroad bridge and the upstream properties to provide 100-year flood protection and also provides for the relocation of the existing 12 inch water main in a new water easement to clear the construction. The drainage improvements features include 7 foot wide by 5 foot high reinforced box and 60 inch diameter drain conduits, laterals, inlets, junction structures, outfall bank and channel protection, reinforced concrete headwall and wingwall outfall structures and grouted rock rip-rap grade control structures.
