Price Agreement for Fleet Tire Repair Service from Rick’s Tire Service, Inc., at an estimated annual cost of $50,000 for one year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one year periods totaling $250,000 if all extensions are exercised; and authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal options with aggregate price fluctuations of the lesser of up to $50,000 or 25% of the original maximum price so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City’s obligation during the renewal terms

Analysis
This agreement is for fleet services to include: tire repairs, tire mounting, tire balancing, tire rotation, removal and installation of tires, emergency road services (normal and after hours), replacement of tubes, valve stems and any other accessories needed to perform such service for the City of Grand Prairie’s Fleet; including, passenger cars, light and medium/heavy-duty trucks, fire apparatus, and off-road equipment.
Notice of bid #19055 was advertised and viewed by thirteen (19) vendors. Three (3) bids were received, none of which were from Grand Prairie vendors. Bids were opened March 20, 2019, see Attachment A for results.
The low bid received from Rick’s Tire Service, Inc., meets specifications and is recommended for award. The price agreement will be for one year with the option to renew for four, one-year periods.
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
