Analysis
The Mobile Emergency Response Restroom Trailer project supports state, regional, and local preparedness by providing specially designed restroom facilities within a mobile, deployable sanitary trailer that is within a climate controlled environment.
The Restroom Trailer may be deployed outside the City of Grand Prairie on a Department of State Health Services (DSHS) mission assignment. On a DSHS mission, Grand Prairie’s operational costs will be reimbursed per separate agreement(s).
The City of Grand Prairie maintains authority for daily use of the Restroom Trailer. If other jurisdictions issue a mutual aid request for use of the Restroom Trailer, and the trailer is available, Grand Prairie will provide priority support to jurisdictions within TSA-E region, with follow-on consideration to support requests from other regions, the state, and the federal government, provided that the need for the Restroom Trailer within our city does not outweigh the need elsewhere.
Requests for a Restroom Trailer deployment outside the City of Grand Prairie will be routed to the Grand Prairie Office of Emergency Management in compliance with Texas Emergency Management Act, Chapter 418, Texas Government Code, and the Texas Disaster Act of 1975.
Final authority for the deployment of the Restroom Trailer rests with the City of Grand Prairie.
Financial Consideration
There is no cash match requirement for this agreement. However, routine maintenance and insurance coverage for the Restroom Trailer will be funded by the Park's Department.
