This project provides for updating construction plans, specifications and bid documents for Palace Parkway between Beltline Road and IH-30 Frontage Roads that was originally prepared by Halff Associates for and approved by City in 2010.
On October 21, 2008, City Council Approved an Engineering Services contract with Halff Associates for Palace Parkway between Beltline Road and IH-30 Frontage Roads. Construction plans were completed and approved by the City on April 30, 2010. However, plans were not constructed due to right of way issues.
The property owners are now dedicating the needed right-of-way and easements for this project.
This contract provides for updating detailed design plans of approximately 2600 LF of four-lane undivided roadway from Beltline road eastward following the West fork of the Trinity River and south towards IH-30 westbound Frontage Road. This project will also provide for drainage improvements, 12” Waterline (2539 LF) and 8” Wastewater main (2253 LF) improvements. Also provided in this contract is preparation of Flood Plain Development permit and FEMA letter of map revision (LOMR), updating TRA Point of Entry permit and other related items of work.
This proposed Engineering contract will be scheduled to start in September 2017 with anticipated completion of construction documents in November 2017. Bidding and construction services to follow shortly and are included as part of this contract.
